The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be coming. That should round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
